Tasting Notes
Beautiful, juicy colour with a golden warmth typical of long bourbon cask maturation.
Honeysuckle and orchard fruit, more pear than apple. Honey'd floral notes with a waxy honey quality that opens up with time.
Vanilla, honey, lemon and sherbet fizz. Balanced oak with a confectionary sweetness throughout.
Dried apple with a lingering confectionary sweetness and a clean oak close.
The Story
Glen Moray Distillery has been quietly crafting Speyside single malt since 1897, on the banks of the River Lossie in Elgin, building a reputation for soft, orchard fruit driven spirit that rarely gets the spotlight it deserves. This release lets that backbone show through, sixteen full years in a single bourbon cask with nothing to hide behind.
Bourbon maturation brings out exactly what Glen Moray does best: honeysuckle and orchard fruit on the nose, vanilla and honey on the palate, and a clean sweetness that lingers. Just Speyside spirit and time.
Bottled at 50.5% ABV, non-chill filtered and free of added color. 229 bottles total. One of the most rewarding pours we have had the pleasure of bringing to the table.
